鲸类由于经济价值很大，自古以来就是人类捕杀的对象，但过去由于捕猎的手段落后，猎取量比较小，尚不足以影响鲸的数量。到了近代，人们改用航船和火炮猎捕鲸类，杀作力大大增强，使得鲸的数量锐减，很多种类濒临灭绝。
亲爱的朋友们，鲸一直是人类的朋友，是海洋生态系统的重要组成部分，是大自然赋予人类的宝贵自然资源。保护鲸鱼，维护生态平衡，不仅关系到人类的生存与发展，也是平衡一个国家、一个民族、一个城市文明进步的重要标志。到现在，蓝鲸只剩下不到五十只了。
因此，我们要倡议：
1、 加强鲸鱼捕捞管理，减少对鲸鱼误伤及资源的浪费。
2、 禁止非法渔业活动，严格控制沿岸生活和工业污水排放，
保护海洋生活环境。
